Non-photonic electron analysis, update 11/12/2009
Outline of analysis:
Final objective is both non-photonic electron cross-section and ALL.
For both:
Electron id: Identify inclusive electron sample
Photonic electron id: Identify photonic electron background
Semi-inclusive electron: Inclusive electron - photonic electron
where in this case, 'photonic electron' is any inclusive electron that is successfully paired with a global track to create at least one opposite-charge pair that satisfies the photonic electron cuts.
Yield:
all HT1 | trig HT1 | all HT2 | trig HT2
Inclusive | 7075 | 6402 | 7354 | 6257 |
Photonic | 4146 | 3705 | 4686 | 3895 |
Semi-inclusive | 2929 | 2697 | 2668 | 2362 |
all HT2 | trig HT2 | all L2Gamma | trig L2Gamma
Inclusive | 4001 | 2643 | 8771 | ? |
Photonic | 2569 | 1678 | 5621 | ? |
Semi-inclusive | 1432 | 965 | 3150 | ? |
Photonic electron reconstruction / background rejection efficiency: to determine how efficient the above method is in reconstructing photonic electrons.
For NPE ALL:
Semi-inclusive and photonic electron ALL
For NPE cross-section:
Electron identification efficiency: to determine the efficiency of the various steps in the electron identification process.
