documentation on the new ADC HV decoupling capacitances

During the summer 2005 shutdown, the capacitances implemented on the adc boards have been changed. Some documents describing their specifications have been posted in a pdf file.

It can also be reached from the main page top menu : Hardware->Electronics->Ladder and "specs" in the "adc board" section.

Major changes

Up to February 2006, the SSD web site was hosted by the French computing center in Lyon. Its URL was http://star.in2p3.fr. The web server in Lyon has been modified so we decided to migrate the SSD web site into to the STAR web site. It is now located at : http://www.star.bnl.gov/STAR/ssd/.

Some pages have not been transfered yet such as the picture collection.

End of the migration

The SSD web server is now fully transferred from Lyon to BNL.
The "phototheque" for instance is now accessible.
I have change several pages but some pages may still point to the old location.

West side cooling hoses -- photos

Look at the seriously kinked hoses (red arrow in one photo, red box in the other.
These photos were taken with the end cap removed, but all else intact.
Note that the kinks appear at the place where there is a bend and no outer support
tubing.

Conclusion: the inner tubing is too soft to be routed in this way -- it just folds.
