Mission statement: PPV finds only Z-vertex (as of June 2008)
Identified improvements for PPV as of June 2008
• reco vertex in X-Y for high mult events à produce beam-line constrain used in 2nd pass
• fold in VPD vertex to global track weighting to amplify tracks from trigger vertex
• add FGT tracks (η of [1,2] ) to improve efficiency for forward triggered events
* add IST, SSD matching to amplify trigger vertex (potential ... black hole, SVT never succeeded)
Maintenance
• evaluate PPV performance with M-C physics eve + M-C pileup up to 1.2 interactions/ bXing
• evaluate PPV with M-C physics eve + zero-bias real event (embedding) – never done
• protect assert() statements – the ultimate warrant of sanity of results
* “annual checkup” before real data production
Attached slides summarize status and identified improvements for the PPV as in June of 2008.
