TPC reco uniformity, 2009 M-C
Updated on Mon, 2009-02-02 12:51. Originally created by balewski on 2009-01-31 20:24.
Test of TPC reconstruction uniformity for M-C simulations prior to y2009 production request.
Input: 1000 events with 10 muons per event, ET=40 GeV, eta range [-2,+2], flat in phi.
Such high PT muons are reconstructed as straight line tracks and track eta,phi at the vertex is well matched to eta,phi TPC sector .
Fig. 1 Example of 300 muons (30 events)
The following BFC chain has been used to reconstruct tracks:
root4star -b -q bfc.C'(1000,"DbV20090131 trs -ssd y2009 Idst IAna l0 tpcI fcf -ftpc Tree logger ITTF Sti StiRnd -IstIT NoSvtIt -SvtCL,-svtDb -SsdIt MakeEvent McEvent geant evout geantout IdTruth bbcSim emcY2 EEfs bigbig -dstout fzin -MiniMcMk McEvOut clearmem -ctbMatchVtx VFPPVnoCTB eemcDb beamLine","/star/data05/scratch/balewski/2009-testTPC-MCa/muonB.fzd")' >& L2d &
Results:
- 7024 prim track has been reconstructed with eta-phi distribution shown in fig 2
- Sti reco efficiency dies at |eta|~1.4, 1.4/2.0=0.7 -> track reco efficiency is as expected
- only few small section of TPC seems to be masked out leading to reduced # of hits per track and lost efficiency for high eta
