4 pulsers runs have been taken last week.
From Jim :
Playing with the strips ADC, one can clearly see the 4 pulsers per chip having larger ADC value :
Check : ADC distribution for all channels (black) and pulser channels (red) : side P, side N
Gain per wafer : here
Test : running the BFC chain (1000 events of /star/data03/daq/2016/043/17043021/st_physics_17043021_raw_2500037.daq" )
left : charge matching side P - side N
right : difference side P - side N [ADC]
no gain calibration ; gain calibration
Comments :
Bottom pannles are the ratios between these 2 runs :
From Jim :
Run # Mode Channel IB Rate Threshold 17043029 Pulser_RAW Pulse_5 10,000 250 N/A 17043030 Pulser_RAW Pulse_25 10,000 250 N/A 17043031 Pulser_CM Pulse_5 10,000 250 2*Sigma+5 17043032 Pulser_CM Pulse_25 10,000 250 2*Sigma+5
I looked at run 17043031
Ladder Id vs channel [1-128] : side P
Playing with the strips ADC, one can clearly see the 4 pulsers per chip having larger ADC value :
Ladder Id vs channel [1-128] with ADC >100 : side P
Ladder Id vs channel [1-128] with ADC > 100: side NCheck : ADC distribution for all channels (black) and pulser channels (red) : side P, side N
Gain per wafer : here
Test : running the BFC chain (1000 events of /star/data03/daq/2016/043/17043021/st_physics_17043021_raw_2500037.daq" )
left : charge matching side P - side N
right : difference side P - side N [ADC]
no gain calibration ; gain calibration
Comments :
- as seen before, charge matching plot looks sharper with the gain calibration
- also reflected in the difference plot, the distribution seems smoother
Bottom pannles are the ratios between these 2 runs :
- very small deviations are observed
- however run 17043031 has one more entry than 17043032 so we may use values from this run
