Addendum for today meeting (Dec. 17)
- Per Oleg's comment: channels with gainCorr 1.000
- Many of them are former gainCorr 4.000 channels in current DB
- Maps: current DB (left) and New (right). For right plots, Black indicates masked out, Blue indicates gainCorr = 1.000
- Explanation:
a. After reporting gainCorr 4.000 channels in FMS meeting, I reverted all those channels gainCorr to 1.000
(* https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/CKim_FMS_180802.pdf)
b. My iteration routine requires minimum # of entries in reconstructed mass: 100.
If the channel's min statistics is not satisfied the routine skips gainCorr update - thus it won't change from initial value.
c. Most of those 1.000 channels are literally dead: no ADC entry exist for st_physics + single minBias trigger.
Or even if it's ADC distribution looks normal, the corresponding mass distribution's entries are too small (< 100).
The latter cases happen in large cells, very outer edge (detId 8, channel 6, 153, 170)
