HP 2020 New Proposed Preliminaries
Here are my proposed preliminary figures for my HP 2020 Poster. The first two figures, rho and jet reco plot, are for the 0-10% central bin. The SE and ME zg distribution figures are for the 10-20% central bin. The goal is to show the combinatorial subtraction procedure without revealing physics, because I am still looking into the combinatorial subtraction. If I were to show 0-10% all the way through, then one could in theory scale and do the subtraction by hand. I hope to make it clear in the poster that I am looking at two different centrality bins, and maybe if it isn't obvious enough I can put a box around the centrality range for each figure.
Because there is an insignificant amount of combinatorial jets in the highest pT bin of 20 < pT < 25 (for the combined 0-20% central), I am confident in showing the the data in this bin. Included in this figure I am showing a comparison to Fast Simulated PYTHIA6, with systematics error due to efficiency(varied by 5%), varying pythia jet matching fraction requirement, and rho definition. Note that this fast simulated PYTHIA6 is slightly different than shown last week due to (1) Increased statistics and (2) adding in the low multiplicity cut (defined in bins of vz and zdcx) to better match the events which I use in data.
