A_LL for Run12 vs. Run13

Event Classes

Two data sets are shown below; one for the more-isolated π0s (100mr isolation cone size) and the second is for the more inclusive π0s (35mr isolation).
For both of these isolation cuts, asymmetries for three event classes are shown, with the event selection for each class defined as follows:

  • Single γ Cuts
    • Photon multiplicity -- Nγ == 1
  • π0 Cuts
    • Photon multiplicity -- Nγ == 2
    • Triger mask -- TrigBits & 0x200 == 1  (n.b. 0x200~jet1; 0x400~jet2)
    • Energy sharing -- Z < 0.8
    • Mass Cut -- | M12-0.135 | < 0.1
    • Not kicked from rellum analysis -- kicked == 0
  • 3 or more Photons Cuts
    • Photon multiplicity -- Nγ > 2

Kinematic Binning

  • One φ bin, i.e., integrate over all φ
  • Pseudorapidity range -- 2.5 <= η < 4.0
  • Energy bound -- E < 100 GeV
  • Transverse momentum bound -- pT < 15 GeV
    • pT binning:
      • [0,1)
      • [1,2)
      • [2,3)
      • [3,4)
      • [4,6)
      • [6,8)
      • [8,15)

Legend

For both the 100mr and 35mr data sets, there are five 3x3 blocks of images, organized as follows:

  1. AL yellow beam vs. pT (yellow points) for run12, 13, and combined ("merged")
  2. AL blue beam vs. pT (blue points) for run12, 13, and merged
  3. ALL vs. pT (magenta points) for run12, 13, and merged
  4. Difference of nominal asymmetries between run12 and run13; error bars added in quadrature
  5. Ratio of statical error bars for run12/run13 -- useful for comparing how much data in each kinematic bin

For each 3x3 block, the rows are (from top to bottom)

  • Single photon data
  • π0 data
  • 3 or more photons
