Run 12 Dijet Embedding -- Primary Track Phi vs. Eta With pT Cuts

This post is a follow-up to:

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/dmawxc/run-12-dijet-embedding-primary-track-phi-vs-eta

Which compared the primary track eta-phi distributions of L2Gamma events from Run 9, 200 GeV pp data to the primary track eta-phi distributions of the Run 12, 200 GeV dijet embedding sample.  In the previous post, no transverse cuts were applied to the tracks.  Here, the tracks are required to have more than 0.2 GeV/c of transverse momentum.  Hence, tracks in both data and embedding are required to pass these cuts:

  • the no. of hits fit must be greater than 15,
  • the ratio of the no. of hits fit to the no. of possible hits must be greater than 0.52,
  • the global DCA must be less than 1 cm,
  • the track pseudorapidity must be between -1 and 1,
  • and the track transverse momentum must be greater than 0.2 GeV/c.
