Update 02.01.2018 -- Run 9 Purity
Continuing with the study of the gamma-rich purity in run 9 pp, I've checked the purity with a tighter zTtrk cut. Other than the zTtrk cut, the nomenclature and definitions are all the same as in this post:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/dmawxc/update-01302018-run-9-purity
Except that here tracks are required to have pTtrk = (1.2, 20) GeV/c, and that here the hot tower list is far less conservative (41 towers vs. 302). Tracks are required to have zTtrk = (0.2, 0.3). Below are the plots for the "exclusive gamma-rich" trigger:
And the "inclusive gamma-rich" trigger:
For both triggers, the bins of eTtrg in the plots of R which do not have a marker correspond to bins where R was either unrealistically large (i.e. greater than 1) or 0 due to low statistics.
Note: the hot tower list used in this calculation is attached.
