Update 05.21.2018 -- Run 9 embedding: Jet Reconstruction Efficiency With Variable bins (R = 0.3, Charged)
Following up from the previous post:
Here is the jet reconstruction efficiency as calculated from the Run 9 dijet embedding using variable bins. After discussion today, we decided to adjust the cuts being applied to the jets. The cuts applied to particle-level jets are:
- |etaJet| < 0.7
- |dFjet - pi| < pi/4
And the cuts applied to detector-level jets are:
- |etaJet| < 0.7
- areaJet > 0.2
- pTjet > 0.2 GeV/c
- |dFjet - pi| < pi/4
Where the 'pTjet' is, as before, the raw reconstructed jet 'pT' (no corrections) and 'dFjet' is calculated relative to the charged-hadron trigger. Moreover, we decided to adjust our matching algorithm: before I required that matched jets satisfy 'pTdet/pTpar > 0.15' and 'pTdet/pTpar < 1.5', but this time I removed the upper limit ('pTpar' and 'pTdet' are the particle- and detector-level jet 'pT' respectively).
And with even finer bins:
Just like last time, I've attached the ROOT files in a zip file and all of the individual 'pTjet' (with no smearing) and efficiencies.
