Update 12.21.2018 -- Run 9 pp: Pythia Vs. Embedding Comparison (With Matching)

Previously, I had compared our detector-level pythia simulation to the detector-level embedding:

There were some alarming differences between the two, so I decided to compare only the matched jets.  In other words, the set of detector-level embedding jets who were successfully matched backed to particle-level embedding jets.  These matched embedding jets were then compared to the detector-level pythia jets.

eTtrg = 9 - 11 GeV:

eTtrg = 11 - 15 GeV:

eTtrg = 15 - 20 GeV:

The differences at the low pT end are (obviously) due to the jet-matching efficiency, but for higher pT the comparison definitely looks better than before.  The particle-level comparison is below.  These are the set of particle-level embedding jets who were successfully matched to a detector-level embedding jet.
