Run-11 Transverse Jets: First Look (Run 12046105)

I have a version of Pibero's code up and running for the Run-11 transverse jet trees (see this post). As a first look, I have run over the jet trees for run 12046105. I select triggers for JP0, JP1, JP2*L2JetHigh, AJP, and VPDMB. I use the following definitions:

  • VPDMB
    • VPDMB trigger fired and pT, jet > 5.0 GeV
  • JP0
    • JP0 trigger fired and pT, jet > 7.1 GeV
  • JP1
    • JP1 trigger fired, JP0 trigger did not fire, and pT, jet > 9.9 GeV
  • JP2
    • JP2 trigger fired, JP1 trigger did not fire, JP0 trigger did not fire, and pT, jet > 16.3 GeV
  • AJP
    • AJP trigger fired, JP2 trigger did not fire, JP1 trigger did not fire, JP0 trigger did not fire, and pT, jet > 16.3 GeV
I have not implemented a fiducial volume cut, here, on either detector η or jet η. Also, I have not enforced a requirement on summed track pT. I have enforced a requirement that RT < 0.98.

In Fig. 1 I plot the raw pT spectra for the various triggers. On the left, I plot the pT for all jets if the particular trigger fired. On the right, I plot the pT with a requirement for the above definitions and a matching to a trigger patch. The exception is for VPDMB where I simply enforce the pT cut and demand the VPDMB trigger fired.
