The attached pdf has plots comparing asymmetry ALL and false asymmetries ALY, ALB, etc for different topologies: EEWW (east barrel-east barrel, west barrel-west barrel), EW (east barrel-west barrel), CE (endcap-east barrel), CW (endcap-west barrel), and CC (endcap-endcap).

The first three plots should give the same numbers thats Brian had seen for his asymmetries. The cuts I used for the plots labeled "Brian's ALL Basic Asymmetry" etc, include only jets that pass:
 

-0.8 <= eta <= 0.8

-0.7 <= detEta <= 0.7
 

And then within those cuts, the topologies are:

East barrel: eta < 0.0
West barrel: eta >= 0.0

 

For all of the "new" topology-specific plots I use these cuts: 
 

East barrel: -0.8 <= eta <0.0

West barrel: 0.0 <= eta < 0.8

Endcap: 0.8 <= eta <= 1.8
 

I am still working on the the topology-specific eta and rt distributions.
