Track and Tower Thresholds for pp 500 GeV

At STAR, tracks and towers must have an energy greater than 200 MeV to be considered in the jet reconstruction algorithm. This threshold was optimal for the pp 200 GeV data. However, in 2009 RHIC operated at a center of mass energy of 500 GeV and this study aims to determine an optimal threshold for this higher energy.

Large discrepancies of the track and tower obverables have been seen when comparing the produced embedded Monte Carlo sample and the data.
