ZDC SMD Stability Study II

A continuation of the ZDC SMD study.  The gains from the response of the SMD slat are obtained from a linear fit of the natural log of the number of hits versus ADC for ADC values at a given range above the pedestal.  The slope parameter is designated as the gain.  See Starnote SN-480.  Runs from fills 10364 and 10375 were analyzed and gains determined.  Plots were made of the gains from SMD slats from east vertical, west vertical, east horizontal, and west horizontal directions, and are in the attachments.

The standard deviations of the SMD slat gains from the analyzed runs from the two fills are calculated to be between 0.0005 and 0.0010 for slope values of approximately -0.010.  The stability in the gains are about 5-10% over the 3 day time period.  It is also noted that the gains from the east SMD slats show a larger variation than those from the west side.
