Consistency Between Run 6 FPD and Run 8 FMS Eta Transverse Single Spin Asymmetry
We discussed that the status of the Run 8 FMS analysis for Eta asymmetry should be reconsidered and a comparison should be made to the FPD Run 6 analysis (if possible) before we proceed to writing a paper on the Run 6 result.
Here is my view of the status of the Run 8 FMS measurement. My conclusion is that we do not understand the energy calibration leading to the FMS results for events that reconstruct to very high energy. However, if we make a guess as to the energy range of these "highest energy" events, a consistent picture is possible.
