Paper page: jet substructure in pAu at 200 GeV in Run 15
Title:
First measurements of jet substructure in p+Au collisions at \sqrt{s_{NN}} = 200 GeV at STAR
Abstract:
We present the first inclusive measurements of the invariant and SoftDrop-groomed jet substructure in proton-gold collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=200$ GeV at STAR. The measurements are fully corrected for detector effects, and reported differentially in both the jet transverse momentum and jet radius parameter. We compare the measurements to published data from p+p collisions at the same energy, and to established leading-order Monte Carlo event generators, to investigate potential cold and hot nuclear matter effects on the fragmentation and hadronization of high-$p_{\mathrm{T}}$ jets. We find no significant modification to jet substructure in this small collision system. These measurements complement recent STAR results which demonstrate a dependence of jet production on the event activity measured at forward rapidity, but no final-state modification in the nuclear medium.
