Estimates for QM2011 embedding @ BNL

 

The below table is extracted from a calculation and estimate of the time it would take to run targetted embedding requests at BNL under the starembed account (QM 2011 as a goal). We estimate on the last row the number of slots necessary for accomplishing our goal within a 2 weeks time.

RealTime for pi/k should be accurate as well as electron embedding. Currently, the timing for gamma was assumed to be of the same order than for the electron embedding. All 7.7 requests were assumed to be 5 times faster than the 200 GeV requests in the first estimates - Xianglei provided a 77 seconds estimate
