Nitrogen Flow and Purging

CAUTION: Make sure the PID controller (Rack 2) is turned OFF. It is only used for gas recirculation. Damage to the controller will result if Nitrogen pressure exceeds 30 PSIG.

4.2.1 Confirm that SV1(n/o), SV2, SV3 and SV4 are closed (red).

4.2.2 Close FI1 (Rack 2).

4.2.3 Confirm that SV9(n/o) is open (green).

4.2.4 Open MV1 (Rack 2)

4.2.6 Confirm that PI1 Nitrogen pressure is about 20 PSI (Rack 2).

4.2.7 Open SV2 and set FM1 flow to 200 ccm.

4.2.9 (Note - we don't understand this step!....SKIP?...) Adjust PCV2 until the supply pressure is 30"WC on PI5 (Rack 2)....

4.2.10 Set FM1 flow to 450 ccm.

Note: re: last steps.... at 200ccm, PI5 should be 4" WC.  at 450 ccm, PI5 should be 8" WC.
