HF-PWG minutes 2016/05/19
1) Michael, Long and Nasim presented the analysis D0 v2 and Ds using the test production of Run14 AuAu 200 GeV data (P16id), where great improvement is seen. A consensus was reached to support the proposal from HFT group for continuing the re-production of Run14 HFT data. Zhenyu has already sent such a request to PAC.
2) Siwei presented a preliminary request for Jpsi polarization measurements using pp 200 GeV data taken in 2012. Even though the individual points agree within 2 sigma with the published Run9 results, the trend as a function of pT is distinctively different, especially taking into accout the low pT measurement by PHENIX. Two requests were made:
- check the xT scaling of the new measurements with that from higher and lower center-of-mass energy. STAR has been advocating the xT scaling of Jpsi polarization for quite some time. We need to see if this message stays.
- check the DsmAdc distribution in data and embedding to see how well the trigger efficiency is reproduced in embedding.
3) Rongrong presented the Jpsi measurement using full Run14 data set. Several requests were made:
- check the effects of HFT tracking on Jpsi signal
- check why the tracking efficiency continues rising even above 2 GeV/c while it saturates already at 1 GeV/c for pions
- check the cross-section measurements in different running configuration to see if they are consistent.
