DNP 2010 Figures
Here I list the figures I want to show at DNP. Figures are generated using first 20 golden runs in Pibero's Spin 2010 list after the subtraction scheme bug fix. Figures include all jets in an event in which at least one jet matched with a fired L2JetHigh (random || dijet) or JP1 jet patch.
Proposed figures for DNP 2010:
Figure 1: This plot shows the average number of tracks, B towers, and E towers in a jet. Plot meant to show the drop in number of tracks as jets move forward in the detector.
Figure 2: This plot shows the total jet pt and the pt from just the tracks in a jet. Meant to complement figure 1.
Figure 3: For each jet, this figure shows the difference between the vector sum of the pseudorapidity of all tracks in the jet and the vector sum of the pseudorapidity of all the towers in the jet as a function of the jet's detector pseudorapidity. The data points are mean values with RMS error bars. This figure is meant to show the bias introduced in jet pseudorapidity by the fact that tracking dies out at forward eta.
Figure 4: This plot shows the pseudorapidity of the full jet minus the vector sum of the pseudorapidities of all the towers. Again shows the systematic shift in jet eta due to falling tracking as well as setting a scale on the expected uncertanty in eta if getting position from the tower only portion of the jet.
Figure 5: Same as figure 4 only showing the phi difference.
Figure 6: This figure is a modification of figure 2. It shows the Pt for the total jet, the track component of the jet, the barrel tower component and the endcap tower component.
Figure 7: This is an alternative to figure 6. I again show the Pt for the full jet and the track component, but now I show the combined tower Pt component without breaking into barrel and endcap towers.
