Some resume before the prrof
For big density 1000 tracks in FTS KNN gives much better results than the standardseed finder.

Two tests, Default SeedFinder and KNN one, 10*1000 tracks

default <qua> = 53%  globals= 987 with (qa> 90%) = 250 
KNN     <qua> = 77%  globals= 786 with (qa> 90%) = 480 

Eta distribution:  3 <==> 4.5
Default <eta>-etaRms = 2.6 <eta>+etaRms = 3.6 non similar to flat
KNN     <eta>-etaRms = 2.8 <eta>+etaRms = 3.7 close to flat

I run 100 events with one track. Also added primary vertex (0,0,0) I got:
