Cosmic prepost epd 2018 Part II

4 EPD based triggers were added to the CosmicLocalClock config today

epde    (epd-e bit)
epdw    (epd-w bit)
epdhit_cosmic_east (epe-e && tof)
epdhit_cosmic_west (epd-w && tof)

In addition, the EPD discriminator threshold was changed from 128 down to 50.
The EPD east hit count threshold was changed from 95 to 0 (which matches the west, not sure why it was so high to begin with).

Then the following runs were taken
Run 19065023 - mostly singles (epde and epdw) (all prescale = 1, prepost = 0 only for st_cosmic, prepost -1/0/1 for st_epd)

Note: Trigger IDs - epdhit_cosmic_east and west are EPD + TOF!

TRIGGER LABEL         STREAM       DAQ TRIGGER ID(s)       OFFLINE TRIGGER ID(s)   EVENTS
epdhit_cosmic_east  epd              40                                7                                    60
epdhit_cosmic_west  epd             80                                8                                    42
epde                         cosmic        400000000                  35                                  14710
epdw                        cosmic        800000000                  36                                  14825

There were 3395 counts with ADC > 16 indicating only about 11% are "real".  Not surprising with a rate of 50 Hz, though 5 Hz may be a bit high.

Figure 1: Sum total of all the ADC counts.  Looks like we're definitely seeing cosmics!  (Peak at ~2000 from B boards)

Run 19065024 - mostly tof coincidences (epdhit_cosmic_*) as singles were prescaled by: 9000000
But, this only had ~60 or so events, which doesn't seem worth analyzing.  Also, since the QT32Cs were in the wrong prepost (they were in prepost 1 at this point), the coincidence between epd and tof was minimal.

Run 19065028 is a standard cosmic run with
  - eq1/2/3 after Jack & Stephen checked their gates.
  - includes epdhit_cosmic triggers with pre1/post1 into epd-stream

/star/u/ is down, which means no mapping and no mudsts and no picos...

Run 19065029 is a standard cosmic run with
    -pre1/post1 -> pre0/psot2 for "epd-cosmic" (BBC*TOF) triggers
    -pre1/post1 (unchanged)   for "epdhit-cosmic" (EPD*TOF) triggers

Unfortunately, I needed prepost 0 - 2!  This designation was kept for the next hours.  Since Jack has changed our prepost, it's probaby not important to look at this data.

First pedestal with new prepost designation is: 19065053

First "normal" run is 19065055 (unfortunately still running prepost 0,2 which means we can't verify).  I have asked Prashanth to change us back to -1,0,1 so we can verify our timing.

Looking at the Jevp plots, they have some interesting patterns:drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/19065055.shift_.pdf

The start of the "good" running would then be at: 19065073
