today Oleg, John, Bill, Zhangbu and I met to talk about the integration of the Silicons and the sTGCs.

 

John will give this priority so we have a good concept till the review.

 

So that he can get going we need to verify some numbers.

I know we have discussed some of this numbers before, but we need to be sure that they are for the old cone and the old beam pipe.

 

So we need for the Silicon disks and the sTGCs

- z-location, 

- clearance to beam pipe, 

- outer radius, 

- total weight, 

- volume of cables , 

- space to be occupied by cooling

 

to provide access also during the run without breaking the beam pipe we suggest to have 2 halves, which fit around the beam pipe and connect to each other and contain the entire assembly.

For the Si, we suggest that the 2 disks furthest away for the IP could have the same size to make things easy.

 

The same questions for the sTGCs, we suggest to have all 4 ones the same size, separate them in top-bottom or left-right the holding structure should be connected to the  pole tip steal.
