Tracking distributions for L2W data and W MC samples
Tracking distributions for L2W data and W MC samples
Here are some tracking distributions for the L2W data and W MC samples for only events that pass the W algorithm requirements for both samples. The hope is these will provide some clues as to how large an effect the pileup and beam background have on the tracking in the data. The 4 plots for each figure are: fit points (upper left), fraction of points used in fit (upper right), global track chi^2 (lower left), and global sDCA (lower right).
Figure 1: L2W data passing all W algo cuts (no lepton cluster ET cut)
Figure 2: W+ MC sample passing all W algo cuts (no lepton cluster ET cut)
Figure 3: W- MC sample passing all W algo cuts (no lepton cluster ET cut)
For completeness I made the same 3 plots as above, but required that the lepton cluster ET > 25 GeV. This is our cleanest W sample in the data, and should most readily compare to the MC samples.
Figure 4: L2W data passing all W algo cuts (lepton cluster ET > 25 GeV)
Figure 5: W+ MC sample passing all W algo cuts (lepton cluster ET > 25 GeV)
Figure 6: W- MC sample passing all W algo cuts (lepton cluster ET > 25 GeV)
