FGT data taking : Evening shift, February 12, 2012
Summary of FGT data taking : Evening shift, February 12, 2012:
a) New HV configuration file: Set 3
The FGT evening shift started with preparing a new HV file following Jan's second analysis raising the HV for a selected group of channels by 100V. The new list is shown below:

b) FGT data taking summary:
Started taking FGT into regular data taking after raising HV with new HV (Set 3) around 09:30PM.
Configuration: pp200_production_2012
Run # | Status | Events (FGT) |
---|---|---|
10343057 | OK | 14324 |
10343058 | OK | 14087 |
13043059 | OK | 14165 |
With 1343060 the whole smooth running for the above three runs changed. Immediately from the beginning of the run we encountered FGT errors, i.e. LO different from zero and 'built' being zero. I requested to stop the run, issued a 'REPROGRAM' and then started again. Unfortunately, another problem occurred with very high dead time (EMC related) (Run 1343061). During this time, no FGT error occurred.
The shift crew took then a run (13043062) with 'pp200_production_noemc_2012' configuration and then proceeded. Run 13043063 was successful without FGT errors, but rather short since we were asked to prepare for beam dump.
HV issue: Around the time of stopping the run (13043062) , the HV went to zero for all channels and then went back up again. I did not issue any commands to influence this nor did I request to ramp the HV back up. You can see this nicely in the following plots:
