identify bad strips that should be “masked” out of the calibration.
The code generate a mask file automaticaly, while some of the spectrum need to be identified by eye.
Strips which have bad spectrum: 02V007, 02V063, 02V199, 02V255, 09V029, 09V113.

Use SMD slopes to estimate an initial SMD gain. This is done by multiplying 1/slope by a conversion factor that you can estimate by plotting the ratio of previous year’s gains to the current 1/slopes.
