HFT run-14 analysis status
The HFT group has in addition to much other Q&A reconstructed D0 candidate signal from the AuAu200 GeV preview production data. This is the RAW reconstructed Kpi invariant mass before background subtraction. They come from about 25 M data within |Vz|<6cm with the signal significance close to 8*sigma (S/sqrt(S+B). In the two plots attached to this page the topological cuts and the D0 signal is presented This corresponds to D0(pt) > 1.9 GeV/c.
This is an early preview, and final performance will have to await official production and analysis.

It has been a large effort for the STAR collaboration and our collegeues at IPHC in R&D, hardware, operation, software, calibration on this detector. It is
gratifyong to see a physics signal coming out, and that we are ready for getting physics results.
Since the plots are from the pre-production the should not be shown in public!

Plans:
As you may know the run-14 official data production will start on Monday, and once ramped up will produce about 20M events per day; QA and
analysis will be done on this dataset as it is being prduced.
The topological cuts, PID etc. will be further fine-tuned and will be followed by the HFT and physics working group. There will be a discussion about the D0 reconstruction at the next HF PWG meeting.
