Caught up on 2 weeks worth of email accumulated during vacation time (though had already responded to a couple of semi-urgent matters while on vacation).  Very pleasantly surprised to find no surprises, no new hardware problems, and nothing requiring urgent attention.

After trying to print several times (from two machines) to the printer in the Control Room (which seemed perfectly healthy from the front panel, including the network configuration), I rebooted the printer and the print jobs came out.  No idea what was wrong there.

spoke with Jeff about network monitoring, SNMP and mrtg

retreived two large LCD monitors from the stock room - one ordered with Jeff L.'s new PC, the other for the new Dmitry

spoke with Alexei about a problem starting the TPC Slow Controls MEDM GUI - before I went on vacation I had worked with Jim T. for a few hours getting font issues straightened out, and thought this was resolved for the new Linux installation, but it seems some information got lost somewhere - need to reconnect with Jim and polish it up and make sure we have a straightforward solution that will work widely.

Spoke with Chanaka about a problem with Slow Controls getting CDEV data from the vsc1 processor and was able to track it down to an incorrect network configuration on the VME processor (the subnet mask was wrong).
