Slightly short day because the lab was closed - I didn't come in until the afternoon.

Got into Ken Sexton's old laptop and applied a bunch of the usual updates but still more to do (the never ending stream of updates for MS, Adobe, Java, TrendMicro, Mozilla products).

Revived repressed memories of the OSG WNC installation after Jerome said he inadvertently cleaned files out of /star/data08.  Determined it was not a problem - the only files there are certificate stuff, which is kept up to date by a cronned rsync from stargrid02.

Found a problem with sysuser@softioc3's access to the SlowControls directory for web monitoring.  Changed the owner and group and that was fixed up.

Installed cfengine on astaire-run09, but various problems - ordo init failed (did it by hand) and ganglia didn't install (remains to be done by hand).  Still needs OCS inventory and osiris too (though osiris is dead until we get a dbbak replacement into service.

Shopped for some network cables - some for the new L4 installation, some for DAQ at Jeff's request (RT# 2757), some for Control Room clean up and some to replenish stock for online uses.

Firefox crashed again, losing about half an hour to recover.  Sigh.
