Run11 ETOW timing curves (and vs. Run 10)
Results from the Run 11 timing scan for ETOW are in the attached .pdf below.
The analysis and curves are from Seema's blog posting;
http://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/sdhamija/2011/jan/28/preliminary-eemc-timing-curves-crate
I have annotated the figure with estimated locations of the optional timing vs. the ETOW TCD phase setting during the scan.
The results from Run 10 (taken with the same crate settings for the timing scans) are shown in the second figure.
There is a clear and consistent ~ 10 ns shift to smaller delay (negative shift) for Run 11 compared to Run 10.
These results are obtained after some effort to improve the viewing conditions (peak to valley, width, etc.). The Run 11 distributions are still "wider" (it seems to be mostly on the low delay side?) than Run 10 though more consistent with Run 9 pp. The detailed tower by tower plots are also appended with arrows drawn on the .pdf files to indicate the timing selection for each crate (e.g., choose a value that best accommodates all the channels in the crate with their various fiber and cable related timing shifts).
