HF PWG Meeting Minutes by Zhenyu - 2014/08/14
1) Upsilon in p+p 500 GeV 2011 data - Leszek
Leszek presented a update report on the analysis, including the latest acceptance and efficiencies from embedding, and the nSigma_dEdx efficiency from data. A few comments/requests were raised:
1. make the embedding QA, prove that one can reliably use embedding to extract the relevant efficiencies.
2. slide 3, prove that Gaussian function with sigma=1 is a reasonable parametrization for y-distribution
3. slide 6, 24-29, make the fit function visible, and add linear-scale plots, improve the fit quality for e.g. p=3-4 GeV bin
4. slide 8, the difference between the fit and the two lowest-p bin needs to be taken into account in the analysis
5. slide 10, L0 efficiency needs to be considered
6. slide 12, what is the meaning of TrackFlag=701/801/901
7. slide 13/14, add the separate 1S/2S/3S curves into the plots
8. slide 13/14, the excess at M~8.8 GeV/c2 in low pT bins needs to be understood (radiative correction effect?)
