HF PWG Meeting Minutes by Zhenyu - 2015/02/26
1) Event-Plane Dependent NPE-h correlations in AuAu 200 GeV - Jay
Jay presented updates on NPE-h correlations using Run11 AuAu 200 GeV data. Jay studied difference in NPE-h correlations between in-/out-of-plane NPEs, and found some indication of differences in the most in-/out-of-plane cases. He also breifly answered the status of p+p analysis, and said that he is working on Pythia simulation studies, and reproducing B->e/C->e separation results. Daniel commented that acceptance correction might be different between in-/out-of-plane events.
Action items (other than those listed in the conclusion slide):
1. fix the event plane calculation (flattening)
2. use different in-/out-of-plane event acceptance corretion?
2) NPE in most central Central U+U Collisions - Katarina
Katarina presented updates on NPE in 0-5% central U+U collisions in Run12. She estimated purity from inclusive electron data sample, EMC and nSigma_dEdx efficiencies from photonic electron data sample. She also estimated (extrapolated) tracking and photonic electron efficiencies using Au+Au data from Daniel. Her RAA results in U+U are substaintially smaller than AuAu 0-5%, which could due to inperfect efficiency extrapolation, or wrong <N_bin> for her sample.
Action items (other than those listed in the conclusion slide):
1. before UU embedding samples are produced, extrapolate tracking and photonic electron reconstruction efficiencies in AuAu based on multiplicities
2. estimate EMC efficiency for pT>4 GeV/c. Right now it is assumed to be constant above 4 Gev/c.
3. plot RefMult distributions of the 0-5% central triggered sample and check the correct <N_bin> has been used.
4. Zhenyu follow up with the embedding team to urge the production of electron/gamma embedding samples in UU - Done
