HF PWG Meeting Minutes by Zhenyu - 2015/10/15
1) Data production priority
Updated the priority list according to the discussion. Will send it to Frank by the weekend. If anyone is interested in Cu+Au data, please let the conveners know. Will call for a focused discussion about Run14 HT data next week to collect all the information and wisedom.
2) Paper plans
Discussed analysis status and publication plan for Jpsi/Upsilon yield vs event activity. Maybe a combined 200+500GeV Jpsi+Upsilon paper. 500 GeV: Qian is planning to work on get vertex ranking>0 cut efficiency from low lumi data, but is currently busy with Forward Upgrade simulation studies. Rongrong suggested Leszek to study lumi-dependent TofMult distribution and cut. 200 GeV: Bingchu agreed to work on forward (BBC) event activities.
3) Paper Proposal D0 v2 - Hao
will request PWGC prereview after getting the result from the full Run14 data. Comments on Figure 1: may take off significance numbers, on v2_2, prepare for questions on systematic uncertainty and eta_gap information during PWGC preview. Include a RAA vs model comparison figure?
4) D-h correlation systematic uncertainties in Run11 p+p 500 GeV - Long Ma
slide 3: difference between Hao and David pion trigger efficiency may be due to lack of statistics at high pT in Hao's pp200 data. Difference in the kaon trigger efficiency unknown -> irrelevant for Long's analysis follow up for pp200 D0 publication
slide 6: need to scale 200 GeV hadron spectra to 500 GeV and assign a syst. uncertainty for the scaling
slide 7: should change the cut in both data and MC and see the change in the final result
slide 7: 3% change in the hadron efficeincy by nHitFit cut from 16 to 25 is too small. need check
slide 8: need to consider statistical uncertainty of the matching efficiency itself, besides the difference between the two
slide 9: send the Pythia settings to PWG
suggest to have a paper proposal soon once the above problems are fixed
