1) Simulation - Xiaozhi
CPU resource:
Xiaozhi reported timing information for producing starsim FZ files and reconstruction with gammas embedding in hijing, respectively.
-> Mustafa has checked his Hijing simulation log files, and found the same amount of producing time, but significantly longer reconstruction time. Mustafa and Xiaozhi will compare their running options to understand the difference
-> before mass production, Mustafa will check Xiaozhi's macro, and Xiaozhi will check the output of his simulation
-> will produce hijing+gamma simulation samples by ourselves, but at the same time ask starsim (Jason) for massive production

fast simulation:
Mustafa looked at Xiaozhi's output and find almost identical shape in DCA_z between data and fast simulation output, in constrast to what Xiaozhi reported last week.
-> Xiaozhi will check his plotting macro
-> Mustafa and Guannan are working on including DCA_xy and DCA_z correlation. They plan to extract DCA_xy and DCA_z covariance matrix with appropriate binning, if no such binning can be found, will try 2D distribution. code is set up and will do so with the next round of data processing

2) Data - Kunsu
Kunsu showed ALICE DCA studies, with tails coming mostly from pions from Kshort decays. According to a paper, Kshort/pion ratio 20% for NA61. What is the ratio at STAR? Bingchu: K+/pi+ is ~15%
-> Kunsu: include reference to NA61 Kshort/pion ratio
-> Kunsu's to-do-list: check number of BHT events, whether it is lower than it should be, and if so, why; understand why photonic electrons are less than previous analyses; understand low BSMD efficiency; fix large prescale flucutuations
-> Kunsu will present his data studies remotely for the HFT analysis workshop at LBNL
