Run12 pp 200GeV high multiplicity trigger
Motivation:
1. Is the possiblitiy of matching tof tracks higher when number of tracks is larger?
2. Are there more events with hits on both vpd when number of tracks in the event is larger?
Dataset:
run 12 pp 200GeV
trigger:
MB (|vz|<30 cm)
TOF3*VPD (tofmult>40 and vpd on west AND east |vz|<30 cm)
TOF4 (tofmult>50, no vpd requirement)
trigger detail: http://www.star.bnl.gov/protected/common/common2012/trigger2012/triggers2012.html
run15 check: drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/yili/run15-pp-200gev-tof3vpd-trigger
QA plot:
1. a. Ratio of BTOFMatch / Number of primary tracks Vs Number of primary tracks
for various triggers.
VertexRanking>=0
MB | TOFMult3 | TOFMult4 |
b. Ratio of BTOFMatch / Number of primary tracks Vs trigger TOFMult
for various triggers.
VertexRanking>=0
MB | TOFMult3 | TOFMult4 |
Ratio of matched TOF tracks is higher in higher TOF multiplicity.
2. a. vpdVz (normalized distribution) for TOFMult4 (tofmult > 50).
Compare the events without number of primary tracks > 50 and the events with number of primary tracks < 50
The possiblitiy of having two hits in each side of vpd is not higher in higher primary tracks multiplicity.
b. Ratio of BTOFMatch / Number of primary tracks Vs trigger TOFMult
for event with |vpdVz|<30 cm, |vpdVz|<300cm and no vpdVz.
VertexRanking>=0
Dataset are all with trigger TOFMult4
|vpdVz|<30 cm | |vpdVz|<300 cm | no vpdVz |
No significant difference is observed.
