IST Sti Geometry Test II
The results from June 4 show there could be hidden overlapping volumes for the IST in-active volumes. I did several checks step-by-step and try to find out the possible overlapping volumes, and the checks are shown as below:
Test with real data
1) Default chain option "P2014a,btof,BEmcChkStat,Corr4,OSpaceZ2,OGridLeak3D,SCScalerCal,goptSCE100051,-hitfilt"
2) Chain without IST geometry "P2014a,btof,BEmcChkStat,Corr4,OSpaceZ2,OGridLeak3D,SCScalerCal,goptSCE100051,-hitfilt,-StiIst,-IstIT"
Input Data is first 1000 events in /star/data03/daq/2014/047/15047100/st_physics_15047100_raw_2500001.daq.
1. Using the online version: Describe the in-active materials with a simplified thin tube volume.
2. Re-defined in-active material volumes for IST Sti geometry
(1) Dmetric without any in-active materials
(2) Dmetric with only kapton hybrid in-active materials included
(3) Dmetric with only kapton hybrid (no arc sub-volume) in-active materials included
(4) Dmetric with only redefined carbon foam stave in-active materials included
(5) Dmetric with only carbon honeycomb in-active materials included
(6) Dmetric with only carbon skins in-active materials included
(7) Dmetric with only end-caps in-active materials included
(8) Dmetric with only center cooling tube/coolant in-active materials included
(9) Dmetric with only east readout electronics in-active materials included
(10) Dmetric with only east short coolings/cablings in-active materials included
(11) Dmetric with only west cooling-loop in-active materials included
(12) Dmetric with only support blocks in-active materials included
(13) Dmetric with only cabling/cooling lines in PIT-PST transition area in-active materials included
(14) Dmetric with only cabling/cooling lines on PIT area in-active materials included
(15) Dmetric with all in-active materials included
(16) Dmetric with all in-active materials (except for IBHC volume) included
Issue: The kapton hybrid seems plays the dominant role to contribute the positive sign Dmetric. Here I can confirm that there is not volume-overlapping during placement and definition. The placement information for top hybrid layer (IHTH+ IHTC) is shown below:
