1) QA of Run16 200GeV Au+Au pi+ embedding - Jan Vanek
- S9: why the entries of the two plots similar? To be understood.
- S10 vs. S12: Jan found new embedding w/ HFT improves the momentum resolution by a factor of about of at pt~5 GeV/c than previous embedding w/o HFT for run16. But for run14, Guannan found Hijing embedding w/HFT improved by only a factor of 2 at pt~5 GeV/c than embedding w/o HFT. Two questions: 1) Is it true that HFT improves momentum resolution? Sooraj commented that Hijing w/ HFT has better description of D0 line shape. 2) Jan found a factor of 3, Guannan found a factor of 2. Any discrepancy? Need to compare the D0 line shape to data for both run14 and run16.
2) Update on psi(2S) in run17 p+p@500GeV - Chan-Jui Feng
- S5, currently the cuts are optimized to have maximum (1-\epsilon_B)*\epsilon_S. The question is that the significance is ~\epsilon_S/sqrt(\epsilon_B), maybe can try other variables. Yi Yang said they tried different variables but current one is the best one. But they will further check.
- S16, the highest pt bin in data is 6-15 GeV/c, need to pay attention to the pt range in embedding request.
- Zebo request the psi(2S)/psi ratio from the raw yields. Yi Yang this can be done quickly.
