Fitting the Pre and Post
We have been able to run through fitting of the pre and post. The file used for this is fitPrePost.C. It finds the summed histogram files that where created after you masked out the bad strips. Then fitPrePost.C will find the mip signal in one of three layers: Pre one(P), Pre two(Q), or Post(R). At current the code one does one layer at a time. Then, after processing the histogram files, the code outputs a .dat file that has all the gains for each element, and two types pdf files. One of the types has all the fit histograms for all the elements in one of the twelve eta bins. The other type has a histogram of the mip mpvs, error in the mpvs, and relative width of the landau peak for each eta bin. Below are some examples of the pdfs that are produced. Also attached are the gain files that are produced from these fits.
NOTE: It was discovered that the earlier runs where 'out of phase' with the later. Because of this the earlier runs have been removed from this calibration. A new spreadsheet marking this change is also attached.
