In the control scripts, all MTCA power cycles are disabled since a complete startup from scratch costs too much time right now ( >~ hour ).

For Run20, don't do the following procedures unless you got the permission from Norbert !!!!
In the control scripts, all MTCA power cycles are disabled since a complete startup from scratch costs too much time right now ( >~ hour ).
The exact recovery procedures for the various hangup states are not yet fully developped.
However, if you issue an "etof_daq_off", wait for the appearance of the " ... stopped by operator " message and then input "etof_daq_restart" it has always worked for me so far.
If the procedure does not succeed within 1 hour to bring etof daq back, I suggest the following procedure for now:
1) etof_daq_off (wait for completion message!)
2) power cycle MTCA
wait for the AFCKs returning: green in "pimo".
3) execute: "etof_prog" to load the latest firmware -> green in "pimo”. if one stays red, repeat 3, then 2
4) power cycle FEE
5) "etof_daq_restart", wait for "ready" (might take 1 hour or fail, then start from 1 )
Please report the time when this was necessary.
