We will try to use Blue Jeans
Blue Jeans information
Dear iTPC Colleagues,
I would like to propose that we stop using SeeVogh and start using BlueJeans videoconferencing tools. BlueJeans has the advantage that you can join as a guest and you do not need to be a member in order to join the meeting. Thus it is more flexible than SeeVogh, it is simple to use, and it is always on. Thislast feature may be especially useful because we do not need to book a new reservation if we change the time for the meeting.
To use BlueJeans, all you need to know is the dedicated iTPC meeting number.
Meeting ID: 256833394
Meeting URL: https://bluejeans.com/256833394
Audio check: https://bluejeans.com/111/
Phone Bridge Numbers (USA):
+1.408.740.7256
+1.888.240.2560
+1.408.317.9253
Other numbers: http://bluejeans.com/numbers?ll=en
You also have the option of using Computer Video and Phone Audio: to do this, use your browser to go to https://bluejeans.com/256833394 and then click on “Phone”, follow your nose from that point.
Anyone can use this meeting ID at any time. Thus, it is also useful for unscheduled and informal meetings.
All Web Browsers should work; you can use a raw browser, or download a plugin to help. Also, smartphones have an App for BlueJeans: simply enter the meeting number into the App to connect. The audio testing facility is nice, too, because it allows you to set up your computer before the meeting. The audio test allows you to talk to a Parrot … who seems to speak any language including Chinese, English and French; perhaps more. The Parrot is very good but I have not figured out how to get her to flap her wings.
If you agree to move away from SeeVogh then perhaps we can try BlueJeans at our next meeting.
Cheers,
Jim
