Abstract | : | An alternative method for the spatial calibration of the STAR TPC was investigated in this RD study. We measured photo-efficiencies of various materials in the gas with a UV laser beam. We performed actual test using the EOS TPC. This method was proved to work. However, it was not considered an optimum solution to the spatial calibration for the STAR TPC in consideration of the wire-shadowing effect and the added material and complexity. |
