| Abstract | : | The possibility of using a strip/fiber type shower maximum detector (SMD) in the EMC endcap for the pp, pA and AA collisions was investigate by simulation. It is shown, that a strip type SMD is a good option for pp and pA collisions, but is not suitable for for AA. The compact 12*12*30 cm module of 16 tiny russian photomultipliers with one HV power supply channel is realized as a unit of a light readout system of the SMD |
