| Abstract | : | We present studies of producing a level 0 trigger for jets and direct photons in pp and pAU interactions in STAR using HIJING calculations filtered through the full STAR analysis framework. Trigger efficiencies and rates are calculated for a large range of jet and photon energies for both pp and pAu using the proposed EMC trigger configuration of 300 patches in pseudoradpidity and azimuthal angle of (0.2,0.2) digitized to 6 bits.
