| Abstract | : | redictions from the event generators HIJING, NEXUS and VNI are compared to first characterize the main differences between the models. Then, the fully simulated detector response to input from all three models is compared event by event. The sensitivity of the STAR-FTPCs to event fluctuations of different variables is investigated and suggestions for the future analysis of FTPC data are derived.
