| Abstract | : | MWC is a trigger detector in STAR. We explain the basic setup of this detector, and describe a simulation package that was developed for the MWC. Using the simulation, we study the properties of the MWC signal for various threshols. Finally, we present the calculated average number of hits produced by a minumum ionizing particle in the MWC, which is equal to 0.78 at 60mV threshold. |
