SN0447 : Vernier scan technical note and preliminary result from 130 GeV AuAu collisions

| Abstract | : | We measured the absolute cross section seen by ZDC coincidence using the Van Der Meer Scan at the STAR IP. RHIC beam position monitors and results from STAR tracking vertex are found to be consistent. The absolute cross section of Au+Au at 130GeV is determined to be 8.9+-0.34(stat)+-0.51(sys) barn (preliminary). Comparison with theoretic prediction is presented. |
