Ideas/List to pursue for Barrel W-algorithm
1) Can we gain anything by looking at those events where there is no track with a vertex to the tower with an energy greater than 20 GeV? What would the contamination be from other sources?
2) What can we gain by using the EEMC as a veto for jet like events?
3) Look at energy in 2x2 cluster and 3x3 cluster (maybe some iterative algorithm too) to see the leakage and overlap effects.
4) Can we use Z decay events to calibrate the BEMC at this high energy?
5) Look at reconstructed peaks (in 2x2 cluster) versus thrown particle energy to study simulated energy resolution.
6) Check the 1/pT spectrum from the TPC track pT. Should be Gaussian.
7) Why does the dedx get higher at higher |eta|?
8) Cuts to use on ADC values from MC. For BPRS we want to be 4-5 sigma of pedestal above the pedestal (~8 ADC) according to Jan's plot of pedestal widths in the BPRS. For BSMD we will do it dynamically since we know pedestal for each strip. But we will have it at 4-5sigma above pedestal.
9) Will gamma->e+e- tracks leave a double MIP in the BPRS? Could be used to identify conversion photons.
