HFT Production Summary - Run14

 This page is to summarize our private HFT production in Run14 for calibration and diagonostic purpose.

A. Alignment calibration production
=========================


1) Zero-field cosmic ray data production with PXL/IST.

   a) Production with very preliminary masking/ped/gain calibration.
      Geometries used:   IST,   all survey tables up to IST whole detector
                                    PXL,  all survey tables up to Sectors.   from Sector up are ideal positions
      Output file location:
     /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/Cosmic_Data/output
         - [YYDDDRRR]/ directories contain all the event.root files
         - Event_[YYDDDRRR].root is the tree output from Xin's matchTree code (different from those for alignment calibration).
     A link is also there in
     /star/institutions/lbl/dongx/hft/Run14/Cosmic_Data/output
     the original location. One doesn't need to modify the input directory.
   b) Afterburner re-production of the Event_[YYDDDRRR].root files with the full PXL survey tables up to PST. No event.root files are reprocessed here.
     /star/institutions/lbl/dongx/hft/Run14/Cosmic_Data_FullSurvey/output
    c) Further afterburner re-production of the Event_[YYDDDRRR].root files with
         PXL survey tables + preliminary alignment calibration (including both half-to-half and sector-to-half).
         IST survey tables + preliminary alignment calibration (including istOnPst offsets)
         No event files files are available here.

        The geometry files for both PXL/IST up to PST level are complete here.

2) Magnetic field on cosmic ray data production with PXL/IST + TPC.

        Geometry fiels are the same as 1-c). The internal PXL/IST alignment is complete. 
        Output files are here including *event.root and Event_[YYDDDRRR].root files.

    The final complete geometry tables for PXL/IST upto the TPC level are stored here
       /star/u/dongx/lbl/hft/Run14/Cosmic_Data_FieldOn_Aligned_wTPC/StarDb/
       The relative misalignment geometries between PXL/IST w.r.t to the TPC are put in the idsOnTpc tables in both Geometry/pxl and Geometry/ist directories.

     The complete geometry files are in DB server on March 26, 2014.

3) Magnetic field off low luminosity AuAu200GeV data production

    Note:  there seem to be some issue with the IST hit output, under investigation now (be careful of using the data)
    

/star/u/dongx/lbl/hft/Run14/LowLumi_ZeroField/output
    No local HFT geometry tables are used. Status tables for PXL used are stored in StarDb/Calibrations/pxl/
    *.event.root and Event*.root (my own tree output) are stored.

B. Sti tracking production
=========================

 

0) Some issue reported here on the new StiPxl.

1) Magnetic field on cosmic ray data production with ITTF + StiRnD, PixelIT and IstIT
   
   Use the complete geometry input from db (no local copies). Production files are here
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/Cosmic_Data_FieldOn_Aligned_wTPC_StiRnD/output_0330/
   including event.root and MuDst.root files. No StiPulls in tags.root so far.
   Tracking parameters can be found in the StarDb/Calibrations/tracker/

2) AuAu200 GeV data production with ITTF + StiRnD, PixelIT and IstIT (Note: these runs were produced before April 1)

   Same setup as in B.1), output files including event.root, MuDst.root, tags with StiPulls are

   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking/output_0330/
   about slightly more than 20K events (maximum 200 events in each file) in total.

   Update on March 31, the st_physics data from the whole run have been processed. Only MuDst files are stored here
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking/output/
   (There seem to be an update in the TPC space charge correction table made on March 31. So the outcome from the same events can be slightly different from 0330 production).

   Run 15081042 and 15081037 are produced.

3) AuAu200 GeV data production with various tracking configurations - produced after April 9 

   one single run 200 events from each file:
   a) TPC in tracking only
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking_TPC/output/

   b) TPC+IST in tracking only
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking_TPC_IST/output/

    c) TPC+IST+PXL2 in tracking only
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking_TPC_IST_PXL2/output/

    d) TPC+IST+PXL12 in tracking
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking_TPC_IST_PXL12/output/
   /star/institutions/lbl_prod/dongx/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking_TPC_IST_PXL12/output_MuDst/   (three runs with MuDst output only)

 
4) AuAu200 GeV data production with full TPC+IST+PXL in tracking (same as B-3-d) - produced after April 18

   MuDst files are stored here (On PDSF):

   /global/project/projectdirs/starprod/hft/Run14/AuAu/200GeV/FastProd/DEV
   source codes and the parameter setup are on RCF
  /star/u/dongx/lbl/hft/Run14/AuAu200/Tracking_0419

   A new set of data produced with the latest StiPxl, StiIst from DEV.
